The meeting on Friday, October 17, 2014 will be a joint meeting with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. We will be hosting the Chamber’s Candidates Forum. All six candidates for the key Peninsula/South Bay races will be there, so it should be a lively and outstanding event! There are some important logistical issues for this meeting:
1. Rotary Club members do not need to buy a ticket. However, because it is a plated, served lunch (rather than our usual buffet), we need to have an accurate count of our members who plan to attend. We want to insure that there will be adequate meals and reserved seating for Rotarians.
2. ALL Rotary guests or spouses must purchase a ticket in advance. Tickets are $45 and may be purchased via the Chamber’s website (
www.palosverdeschamber.com) OR by phone (310-377-8111). Or, you may turn in a check payable to the PVP Chamber at our Rotary meeting either this week or next, (10/3 or 10/10 Club meetings).
3. I will be circulating a clipboard at both our 10/3 and 10/10 Club meetings to get a count of Rotarians who plan to attend and/or any guests; OR you may respond to this email and I will add you to the list.
4. The cutoff date for Rotarian RSVP’s and ticket purchases for your guests is Monday, October 13. Please note that last minute guests may not be able to be accommodated. This event has sold out in the past and any tickets at the door (If even available) will be priced at $65. Please plan accordingly to avoid disappointment.
5. Please note the EARLIER START TIME FOR THIS MEETING!
