Pageant of the Arts Selection

In this year where the opportunities for students to perform and compete are limited, the PVP Rotary Club is thrilled to offer our local students an exciting opportunity to participate in the Rotary District 5280 “Pageant of the Arts.” The Rotary Club of Palos Verdes Peninsula will sponsor one student to participate in each of the five areas of competition and invites all students to participate in the selection process. In order to advance to the Rotary District Pageant of the Arts Competition, you must first be selected by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Club. Submit your entry directly to the Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Club by March 1, as detailed in this packet. In addition to the 1st place winner in each area advancing to the District Pageant, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each area of the Club selection process will win $100, $75, and $50 respectively.

Rotary District 5280 2021 Pageant of the Arts

Rotary’s Pageant of the Arts provides high school students the opportunity to display their talents and compete with other students for recognition and monetary prizes. Students gain valuable experience as well as exposure to university deans and professors. The selection process provides Rotary Clubs with an opportunity to connect with the community through public and private schools, churches, performing arts and art studios, YMCA, YWCA, theater groups, community centers and groups, and retail centers.

The Pageant will take place virtually via Zoom on April 17, 2021

Pageant Areas of Competition:

• Art • Dance
• Music: Instrumentalist
• Music: Vocalist
• Speech

District Pageant Prizes (for each area):

• 1st place - $1,000
• 2nd place - $500
• 3rd place - $250

Contest entries and form must be submitted by March 1, 2021
