MOMENTS OF HOPE GALA - Puttin' on the GLITZ!
This years Gala event will be a special one for the Abbotsford Hospice Society:
- It has been 1 YEAR since Holmberg House, Abbotsford's Hospice, opened its doors to the termially ill members of our community. It has also been a year of incredible growth! Our palliative services now reach from Holmberg House, to the hospital, and into individuals homes. Our volunteer numbers have grown, and they are helping in all aspects of the Society and Holmberg House. Our grief support programs for individuals and groups have increased by over 30%. And, we have hired a Manager for the
Youth Grief Support program!
- It has also been a sad year, with the passing of our beloved supporter and advocate, Mr. Dave Holmberg Sr. Who will we be honouring at the event.
- and... "Puttin' on the Glitz" is the 14th annual Moments of Hope Gala, which is our largest funraiser of the year. Proceeds from this event allow us to continue supporting people who are dying, and the individuals and families who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
Things are growing good at the Abbotsford Hospice Society,
and at Holmberg House.
Our residents live courageously.
