Thanksgiving at The Arc

It's time once again for one of our most popular service projects! In the spirit of giving thanks, Rotarians will not only eat and meet, but feed and greet hundreds of adults with developmental disabilities at The Arc of San Francisco.

We will be providing a Thanksgiving meal to adults with developmental disabilities, like Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Autism. Many live on an average of as little as $830 per month from Social Security! The Arc was started by a group of parents in San Francisco over 50 years ago, concerned about a lack of services for their sons and daughters. Since then, they’ve become a primary resource for people with disabilities, helping them live, learn, work and be part of their communities. The Arc provides opportunities for self-determination, dignity and quality of life to over 750 clients with disabilities.
