The month of October 2020 is filled with events and new opportunities for members and guests.

75th Anniversary of the United Nations
On pages 20 and 21 of the October 2020 issue of the Rotary magazine is an article entitled "A partnership with a long history" about the partnership between the United Nations and Rotary. Our Club is celebrating this partnership on October 6, 2020 when our guest speaker will be Dr. Tatjana Kobb, who was appointed by Rotary International President Holger Knaack as a 2020-2021 Rotary International Representative at the United Nations headquarters.

If you have specific questions about the role of the UN in these challenging times or have questions about the role of Rotary in the founding of the UN, please submit them to Susan Dean and we will pass them on to Dr. Kobb.

First Five Rotary Clubs Meeting
Join us for the second collaborative meeting of the First Five Rotary Clubs on October 7, 2020. Find out who the special guest will be and hear about the joint project to address homelessness in our communities.

Rotary District 5150 Activities
Our District is holding a Blood Drive on October 9, 2020 and a Road Rally to END POLIO NOW on October 24, 2020. Much care and planning have been taken to make all of the above in-person activities safe for everyone participating.

Volunteer Opportunities
See here for ways to help Catholic Charities and serve the community. Deliver pre-packaged dinners to The Arc San Francisco clients who are experiencing food insecurity on either October 5 or October 19 or both.

In addition to the above activities, our Club calendar lists committee meetings, our regular meetings on Tuesdays, and a social event on October 28. Our Educational Series continues. See here for the program in October 2020. There is also an informative RCAT session on October 15.

Registration is required for all events so that we can send you details such as connection information. Open the doors and join our Rotary family in these opportunities and many more to come.
