Action Leadership Program with Students (ALPS) students Presley, Emma, and Mirabelle led a successful book drive for the Jefferson Elementary School District in Daly City. The goal was to collect used and unwanted children's books and redistribute them to a place in need.
They set up over four collection bins in neighborhoods in San Francisco such as Noe Valley and Mission Bay and collected so far over 200 books. These 200+ books will become part of the School District's library and serve as resources to elementary school children who might not have otherwise had access to them. The ALPS students are extremely pleased with the outcome and proud of the work that they had put into planning this book drive.
