The 2021 Rotary Club of San Francisco’s annual picnic was a wonderful day to celebrate, socialize, and come together. The picnic was chaired by Christopher Wiseman (the 2021-2022 President-Elect) and a dynamic committee that included: Dan Joraanstad, Bob Hermann, Robin Azevedo, Stephanie Schmautz, Eric Schmautz, Mary Liu, Cecile Chiquette, David Dye, Dora Dye, JT Forbus, Kevin Leong, Sue Rokaw, and Jeff Lerner.

70 members attended and honored two Past Presidents - Casey Blair and JT Forbus - at the home of Robert Thomas, the father of Club member, Heidi Kuhn. The beautiful home in San Rafael was the perfect venue to celebrate the occasion.

A delicious barbecue lunch was prepared by Stephanie and Eric Schmautz, and attendees enjoyed swimming, lawn games, and lots of socializing. A brief program was led by Christopher Wiseman. Heidi Kuhn welcomed and thanked guests, as well as presented JT Forbus with a special recognition certificate. JT Forbus shared several touching stories and presented Bob Hermann with a special award from Rotary International. Casey Blair talked about his time with the Club and announced his upcoming move to Boise, Idaho. Nancy Graydon welcomed new members and distributed 100th anniversary books and welcome letters to those attending the picnic. Mary Liu concluded the formal program with special remarks and introduced surprise guest, Mary Bates, the 2020-2021 District Governor for 5150, to share a message of thanks to our Club.

This occasion was lots of fun, and everyone left with big smiles on their faces! See photos here
