On Emergency Services Day, the Rotary Club of San Francisco annually honors outstanding representatives of the departments that we depend on for our public safety: Fire, Police, Sheriff, and Coast Guard.

We will honor first responders for heroic acts and for quietly transforming the quality of service provided to the community, such as the successful implementation of an innovative idea or unwavering dedication in the midst of a personal or organizational challenge.

All of the honorees are selected by the chief of each department. Even more important, “Emergency Services Day” provides a public forum where department chiefs thank and congratulate the award winners.

We'll hear the story of each of the honorees. The Club awards each honoree with a night on the town with their special someone.

This is one of the most popular luncheons of the Rotary year. All of the honorees will attend along with friends, family, and the top brass of each department. This year, we are expanding the program by inviting more community leaders to participate so we can provide even more powerful recognition to these tireless public servants.
