Stefan Baumann took transportation and trade related education in the specialized subjects of correspondence, business operations and law, accounting, political science, economics, economic geography and German/French/English Study. He received his diploma in International Logistics from the KV Zurich Business School in 1990 in the subjects of organizational management and high level problem solving, administrations, world-wide trade, international marketing, finance, taxes, customs regulations, brokerage, law and insurance in the global marketplace, banking (L/Cs), handling valuables, perishables and dangerous goods DGR including radioactive material.
 
 
Informational Topic or Research Area
Mr. Baumann spent over twenty-five years working for different international freight forwarding companies in Switzerland, France, Canada and the US, in the fields of air, ocean, trucking, warehousing and customs brokerage – operations and sales. This strong logistics foundation, combined with applied consultative selling methods helped him to design global supply chains for many companies in the US and Canada over the last eight years.
When Mr. Baumann discovered the Port of Tucson, he decided to put his knowledge, experience and passion to work for the greater good of the regional economy, helping to turn this valuable infrastructure into a regional transportation asset for Arizona and Sonora.
