US Coast Guard Auxilliary

Club member, John Lenhard, retired from ITW Paslode in 2011 after a 38 year career with the company.  A long time boater and wanting to spend more time on the water he decided to go through the process to earn a Captains license and to join the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in Wilmette.  Since 2011 John has worked part time as a Captain on Lake Michigan and on the Chicago River as well as a volunteer with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.   John serves in the Coast Guard Auxiliary Boat Crew Program and is a qualified Vessel Examiner.  He is currently Human Resource Officer for the Wilmette Harbor Flotilla.
