Here is a meeting recap from Tuesday, April 19 & 26, 2016:
 
April 19, 2016
  • There were no announcements at today's meeting.
  • Happy news was shared.
  • John was the first winner of the President's raffle. Congratulations John!
Today's presentation was "What's Your Role? A conversations about the effects of addictions in our lives, homes and in our community". The presentation was given by an Educational, Interfaith & Intergovernmental Collaborative by members of: DuPage High School District 88, Willowbrook High School, State Representative Deb Conroy's Office, Villa Park Police Department, St. Paul Lutheran Church & Christian Church of Villa Park. This highly informative presentation talked bout addiction problems within our community and offered ways to begin conversations between not only parents and children about addiction but also how to involve more members of the community. Information was shared about organizations who offer help to begin conversations, offer treatment, sober activities and support.
 
April 26, 2016
  • Announcements included:
    • Jay's Installation Dinner date is scheduled for June 28, 2016. He is looking at Angeli's in Naperville. He will try and bring in a menu so everyone can look at the options.
    • Our club's obligations for the current year have been filled.
    • The District Conference will be held at the Lincolnshire from April 28 - May 1.
    • The Salt Creek Clean-Up is scheduled for May 21.
    • Karen was the winner of this week's President's Raffle.  Congratulations Karen!
  • Happy news was shared.
  • Trivia contest was held.
