Lastly, she will highlight the importance of volunteering and preserving history in the local community.

The key points of the presentation include: the development of the school-community relationship between GBN and Northbrook, analyzed from a historical perspective, her experience doing the research, and the importance of volunteering locally and preserving local history.

About Elyse:

I'm a senior at Glenbrook North High School and will be attending Northwestern University in the fall, studying biology and history. Since the beginning of junior year, I have been a part of the Advanced Honors Research Program at school. The program allows students to engage in a two-year long research project about any topic of their choice (provided the topic is relevant to the Glenbrook community). Being passionate about history, I chose to research the history of GBN and the Northbrook community!
