Lukan Paulus and Ellen Ewing spoke about their business with a social good purpose, called Cherie's Greener World. They aim to educate about the importance of locally grown  and locally sourced foods as well as sell highly nutritious micro-greens such as cabbage, brussell and radish sprouts. They taught the group about the benefits of microgreens and all had a taste of several kinds. They would like their business to ultimately support their original non-profit aim of providing agricultural employment opportunities to veterans as well as providing access for seniors to highly nutritious locally grown foods.
Cherie was the name of his dog who loved microgreens almost as much as Lukan did! Because they missed her so much, they decided to name the company after her.
