President Plouché opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and reciting of the Four Way Test.
 
Our Golf Outing is a month away. We need foursomes and sponsors! Please contact Joe Lolli or Jim Berardi.  Registration and Sponsorship forms are available on the website under the tab "Downloads".

 

For the upcoming golf outing, we would like say a special thank you to Sunset Foods (Frank Lomoro) for sponsoring lunch AND dinner. Sunset’s continued support of Rotary is a true life line.

August 5th  the dinner event begins at 5:30pm at the Highland Park Country Club. For the golf outing our MC for the evening will be Aaron Freeman. All non-golfers are welcome to attend. The cost for dinner only is $35. Please see the registration form on the website..

The Day's Program
Our speaker, Scott Webster related to the Club the history of Underwriters Laboratories as a product safety testing company based in Northbrook. He also spoke of the new direction it is taking. Scott mentioned that UL is a sponsor of the PGA Women's Tournament (LPGA) going on this weekend at the Merit Club in Libertyville.
