President Paul Munk and HPHS Principal Tom Koulentis presented the seven Rotary scholarship winners. Each student came up to introduce themselves, share what school they will be attending, and their majors:
 
Jorge Blancas – University of illinois at Chicago for Electrical Engineering
 
Diana Cruz – Wellesley College, Massachusetts, major unsure
 
Christopher Flores – Pomona College, Claremont, California, for Chemistry
 
Nomin Jigd – American University, Washington D.C., for International Relations
 
Shani Kaplan-Golan – Northwestern, Evanston, IL for Biology
 
Alison Perlman – University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, for Speech & Hearing Science
 
Tiffany Stancin – Bradley University in Peoria, IL, major unsure
 
Afterward each student was awarded their scholarship check, a group picture was taken and the meeting was adjourned.
 
The Installation Dinner is June 29th at Ravinia. 6 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. Cost: $45 per person/$40 if you've already purchased a ticket to the performance. The price includes Lawn admission, lawn chair, appetizer and dinner.  Checks are payable to the Rotary Club, or billed by the Club. More information to come from Joanne Gordon.  The evening performance is the Juilliard String Quartet beginning at 8 p.m.  NO Lunch Meeting that day.

Yesim Sonmez and Joanne Gordon for the HPHS Scholarship winners; Ghida Neukirch for the opening of Rosewood Beach and the Stupey Cabin Picnic; Martha Gray for Neil Dahlmann’s son-in-Law’s retirement from 34 years with the Navy (Congrats!) and Len Tenner because his wife is now Hepatitis C free thanks to new drugs!
