Outgoing President Paul Munk reflects on his term with gratitude while incoming President Cynthia Plouche looks on.

Amid the early summer evening sounds and fellowship, the Club gathered in tradition to enjoy the late sunshine. And what better place than Ravinia, where Nature and music envelope you?
It was a time for outgoing President Paul Munk to look back on his year and for incoming President Cynthia Plouche to share her goals.  It was a time of excitement.
Perhaps that’s why the passing of the baton is done in the summer and not in the dead of winter when slush makes everything less exciting. In the summer, the days are longer, and although it’s true we’ve had lots of rain, we are far from parched both in the land and in our minds. There is always so much to do in the summer.
Each Monday we gather not just in fellowship but also to expand our knowledge of the world around us even if that knowledge takes across the world or a block away – wherever there is a need for our help, be it time, talent, or money.
So last (Monday) night, we once again passed the baton (or in this case the key to our post office box) to our new President Cynthia Plouche, and set our sights ahead to the coming year of fellowship and service above self.

We hope Paul isn't seeing a bee!  Thank you Paul for all your hard work!  Best wishes for successful year Cynthia!
