President Cynthia Plouché opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and "God Bless America".
 
Joanne Gordon announced a number of fellowship items:
 
First: NO Meeting November 9th, Social hour and fellowship at the home of Fred and Sylvia Orkin. Happy Hour at the Orkins begins at 5:00 p.m. at 215 Prospect, Highland Park. Spouses are welcome.  We extend a big THANK YOU to Fred and Sylvia for hosting!
 
Next: During our November 30th meeting, (our next fifth Monday) we will have a White Elephant Event. Bring 1-2 unwrapped items from home to be auctioned off.  All proceeds go to the Club.
 
Last: NO meeting on December 14th: The Annual Holiday Party to be held at the country club. - Bring the kids!
 
Upcoming Board Meetings: November 16th and the December Board meeting to be held December 14th, time and location to be announced.
 
Karen Dennis announced a Coat Drive collaboration with the Lake Forest Club.  Coats were being dropped off at the Nuestro Center Monday (October 26th) afternoon.
 
If you have gently used coats to share, please bring them to the meeting on Monday.
 
Ryan Twose and Pete Fitzgerald from the Deerfield Rotary Club extended an invitation to their First Annual Games Night on Friday November 6th from 6 pm. to 11 p.m.  Bring your own game and players, they will provide the table, meal and refreshments. Admission is $50.00 - that includes your gaming table and dinner. Invite your family and friends! All proceeds go toward the club's major service project: building and furnishing a library for the citizens of Hautulco, Mexico. Games Night will be held at the Deerfield Park District Golf Course 1901 Saunders Road Riverwoods, IL 60015.

Nicole Martin, president and founder of HR Boost spoke to the Club about the different generations in the workforce.  As businesses embark on the greatest shift on human capital history, generations come together in the workplace like never before. Each generation brings something new with varied work ethic, values and motivations. It is important to understand and build your generational agility as talent will choose where it wants to be in the coming decade.
