Holiday sharing

The Rotary Club of Carol Stream looks forward to the Holiday season here in Dupage county.  There are many projects for Christmas and the holidays around the community.

We help the neighborhood food pantries by donating funds to purchase and restock the shelves for this busy time of year. We have sponsored a resident in the community and provided her gifts for the holiday.  Some members have supported the Giving Tree with the Interact club by purchasing gifts for needy children in our neighborhoods.   Several members participate in the annual Christmas Sharing project, sponsored by the Social Service Unit of the Carol Stream Police Department, at the Luthern Church of the Master.  The club members are joined by other community volunteers to pack donated dry and canned food products in bags to be distributed to recipients for the holidays.  The Carol Stream Outreach center sets up a Christmas Shopping store with donated toys and gifts from local businesses, churches, and community residents.  Some of the club members have donated gift wrap, items for purchase, and assisted the "shoppers" in preparing their holiday surprises.  Peace and the Spirit of the holidays are felt through giving to others less fortunate and seeing their smiles.
