Liz Luby Guest Speaker Jan 5 2017

 

Our guest speaker on January 5, 2017 was Liz Luby owner of 365Barrington.com.  365Barrington.com is a well read local on-line news service.  Liz and her reporting staff write stories about the positive things that are happening in our community.  Liz has a background as a Network TV news reporter and program producer.  In 2010 on April Fools Day she published the first post at 365Barrington.com and has continued to build this valuable online news service ever since.  Liz is also a Principle & Broker Associate with The Luby Group & Properties.  Liz says that while one of her jobs is to sell houses, she also spends a lot of time answering questions about what it's like to live in Barrington.  She created 365Barrington.com to offer a new and different local resource to learn more about the community that we have in common.

 

At our meeting Liz shared her insight into best use practices for social media. The Rotary, like any organization or business, needs to take full advantage of communications through the internet.  Liz shared with us some ways we could proceed.  She stressed the use of Facebook, Instagram and Hashtags.  In the near future she will be teaching a private class on the subject.  If you are interested please contact her at Liz@365Barrington.com.
