Glen Smith's project was to help a local organization called Designing for Veterans renovate and restore the home of an Arlington Hts. Marine Sgt. who was paralyzed from the waste down in a diving accident. Glen did all the planning, fundraising, materials purchasing and coordinating and led his troop to renovate a master bedroom and family room, as well as clean and reorganize their two car garage.

Designing for Veterans built an addition to the main home that provides Sgt. Dan with his own state-of-the-art living area. The addition created structural damage to the adjoining walls of the main home of his parents, so Glen's project restored the walls and rooms of the main home. Allowing Sgt. Dan's family to regain use of their entire home. It was one of the most labor intensive projects ever accomplished by a Troop 34 Eagle Scout and involved almost two dozen scouts and adult leaders over several weekends.

Congratulations Glen and Troop 34
