At our January 29, 2015 lunch meeting, our club President Linda Borton conducted an informal Club Assembly.  Linda officially delivered the great news that the Arlington Heights Noon Rotary won the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce 2014 Not-For-Profit of the Year award, club member Neil Scheufler won the Volunteer of the Year award, and Clementi's Restaurant won the 2014 Business of the Year award.  Congratulations to our club, Neil and Mike, and all remembers on a successful 2014!   Among the very useful bits of club information that Linda shared with us, she told us that our club had 59 members as of December 31, 2014, 83% of whom are men and 17% of whom are women.  Also, very significantly, almost half of our club members (47%) have been members for less than five years, which makes very clear the importance of member retention and club programs that support retention.  We also spent a good deal of time reviewing the our club and Rotary International goals for the year, and programs that can better achieve those goals.
