President Linda presided with a house full of Visitors – Rex Paisley announced potential members Lunosey Shaner and Mark Jablonsky, Todd Rollins, guest of Rich Morton, and Kacey Froney, guest of Wendy Davis.  Welcome all!
Announcements –  President Linda reminded us to do the Survey Monkey survey (link in a previous e-mail) to give our opinions, but not bananas (no, Survey Monkey is not counting those).  Our replies to the survey can be of help to club leadership address our needs.

We'll be partnering with Special Leisure Services, in part because we’ve worked with them for years.  Mt. Prospect/Arlington Sunrise will be dissolving due to low membership numbers.  Because we were their chartering club, we will take over some of their projects such as working with Cub Scout Troupe 169 (our Scout mentor, Terry Ennes, has volunteered to help temporarily).  There is information on Shared Memberships posted on our website.  Sue Duchek presented President Linda with a pair of cherubs given to the club from one of our Thanksgiving recipient families.  An Elgin Symphony performance in March tied to End Polio Now efforts is listed on the website calendar.  The Art of Dr. Seuss Galary will continue to donate to Rotary; in addition to a percent of sales this weekend…during the rest of the year mention you are a Rotarian and 10% of the sale will be contributed.

Dr. Bill Park gave us a Rotary Minute, describing  remarkable scholarships available through Rotary Peace Fellowship – 50, 21-month masters degree scholarships are given worldwide to study peace and conflict resolution.  Go to the RI site to find out more by clicking here..
