Michelle Putman is an Assistant District Attorney at the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office, where she has served since 2011. She is a graduate of WB Ray High School, received her BBA from The University of Texas at Austin, and her law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. She began prosecuting human trafficking cases in 2016, when she was the Child Protection Unit Prosecutor. In her current position as Chief of Intake, she oversees all new misdemeanor and felony cases that are filed with the office. She continues to handle any human trafficking prosecutions for the office, and is a member of the Texas Coastal Bend Border Region Human Trafficking Task Force.
