Host a Youth Exchange Student?

Howdy! As most of you know, I am the Incoming Youth Exchange Chair for the district. For the year 2007-08, we are sending out 14 students, and we are hosting 14 students. We are looking for a family to host a boy from Germany in the Scotts Valley or San Lorenzo Valley area. We are also looking for a host family for a boy from Argentina for either the Aptos High School District or the Santa Cruz High School District. A host family does not need to be a Rotarian. It can be any family that would like to be a host for 1/2 of the school year.
Would you like to host a foreign exchange student? Do you know someone who would like to host a foreign exchange student? Please let me know ASAP. We are endeavoring to complete these last two exchanges.
Current RI President Wilfred (Wilf) Wilkerson said in the July 2007 Rotarian that "we share Rotary with the next generation by focusing on youth. " Outgoing RI President William (Bill) Boyd stated at this past International Convention that "world peace would be achieved if every 17 year old participate in a Long Term Rotary Youth Exchange."
