Dan Haifley - Harbor Anniv & Ocean Classroom
50 years safe harbor & 18 years ocean classroom (Host: J. Lezin, Det: J. Ferrante, Pldg: ?)

Dan Haifley joins us to talk about the 50 year anniversary of the Santa Cruz harbor as well as 18 years of the ocean classroom. Dan's recent book, 50 Years of Safe Harbor, charts the history of the Santa Cruz harbor--from its roots in Woods Lagoon through the Army Corps construction, the tsunami devastation, and beyond. This collection highlights the people who have shaped the life of our beloved harbor and the problems it has faced.

Haifley's passion for this sheltered port is contagious as he champions its crucial role in our community.
