Rotarians throughout the West Valley are invited to enjoy an Arizona Fall League game during “Rotary Day at the Ballpark,” Sept. 25 at the Peoria Sports Complex.

The social event will give Rotarians an opportunity to mix and mingle while also benefitting a popular Northwest Valley charity.

The game will feature the Peoria Javelinas taking on the Surprise Saguaros. The stadium is at 16101 N. 83rd Ave., Peoria.

Tickets are $10, with 100% of the revenue supporting the Peoria Diamond Club. The Peoria Diamond Club is a nonprofit charity dedicated to supporting local youth and charitable organizations that dedicate and enrich children’s lives, while enhancing their futures.

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to Bret McKeand at scibret@aol.com or by signing up here.

Rotarians are asked to pay for and pick up their tickets between 5:30 and 6 p.m. at a Peoria Diamond Club ticket table located on the west side of the stadium, outside the lobby doors.

Note: Do not purchase tickets at the box office.

Roz Shanley, executive director of the Peoria Diamond Club, will give a short welcome presentation at 6 p.m. The game begins at 6:35 p.m.

Rotarians will view the game from the Colonnade, a private area on the third-base side of the stadium. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

This is a great opportunity to meet other Rotarians – or better yet, bring a prospective member along!

The Arizona Fall League is owned by Major League Baseball and features the league’s top prospects competing for the AFL Championship.

The Peoria Javelinas consists of top prospects from the Braves, Brewers, Padres, Mariners and Rays.

The Surprise Saguaros feature players from the Royals, Pirates, Cardinals, Rangers and Blue Jays.

Again, a great opportunity to meet fellow Rotarians, support a worthy Northwest Valley charity and enjoy a baseball game!

Remember to RSVP or contact Bret McKeand at scibret@aol.com with questions.
