Global Grant Approved
Today was a very special day for all of us. Our Global Grant for Polio Survivors in West Bengal, India was APPROVED, by The Rotary Foundation and the Trustees of The Rotary Foundation, the award amount is for $144,343 USD. This grant took some what of a long time because with a grant this size it needed a report from a Rotary Cadre appointed by the Foundation.
I want to thank each of you for believing in this project that will help provide polio corrective surgeries, calipers (braces), wheelchairs, and physiotherapy for polio survivors in West Bengal and Assam, India.
This grant has been a dream of mine. After visiting India on 6 NIDs and
visiting other projects and seeing children and adults alike crawling
in the streets from the effects of Polio, we just had to do something
about it. This project will help for sure.
