Jacob Deleon is a senior at Juanita High School. His accomplishments include maintaining a weighted GPA of 4.14, taking nearly 20 advanced and Advanced Placement courses, and being a member of Key Club. Carrying the legacy of his Spanish and Greek ancestry, researchers, and engineers on both sides of his family, Jacob is a lifelong academic with a desire to never stop learning. A former boy scout and 12 years of team sports have taught him how to be the best version of himself. Jacob's hobbies include tutoring, volunteering, photography, playing soccer, and building computers. He plans to earn a bachelor's degree in science at San Diego State University and to get accepted to a great medical school like University of Washington, where he can further his studies toward a Ph.D. He says he is uncertain if he will go into research or a medical residency. Either way, he plans to continue to help people as best he can. Jacob was awarded a $2,500 Kirkland Rotary Scholarship..
