Space history and exploration at the Museum of Flight
The United Nations General Assembly declared the first week of October “World Space Week” to celebrate at the international level the contributions of space science and technology to the betterment of the human condition. In celebration of this international focus on space, join our own Museum of Flight’s exhibit developer and adjunct curator for space history, Geoff Nunn, for a whirlwind tour of the Museum of Flight’s space flight and exploration programs and exhibits. Geoff will treat Rotarians to a pictorial tour and touch on highlights of the Museum’s extensive space collection and programming.

As the Adjunct Curator for Space History at The Museum of Flight, Geoff leads the museum’s efforts to tell the story of the first 50 years of human spaceflight and beyond. Geoff holds a master’s degree in museology (museum studies) from the University of Washington and has spent the past 15 years working in science and technology museums as an educator, exhibit developer, and curator.

Geoff is responsible for the primary research and exhibit writing for all the museum's space-related exhibits. He also volunteers with NASA’s Solar System Ambassadors program and represents The Museum of Flight as a member of several space history and policy groups. Geoff has presented on the Museum’s efforts to tell the story of space at conferences nationwide, and also regularly writes about space-related topics.
