Overcoming Bigotry and the Selma March
John is a past president of the Rotary Club of Park Ridge. He will speak about his childhood growing up with a culture of bigotry and then he recalls episodes in his life to get him to the decision to march in Selma, Alabama.
He is a retired United Methodist pastor. He participates each year in the District 6440 service project at the ak' Tenamit school in the jungle of eastern Guatemala servicing the Mayan culture.
