Sunnyvale Rotary held our annual Speech Contest on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
We had three contestants and awarded First, Second and Third place awards.
The winners were:
First Place: Sheryl Ratnam - St. Francis HS
Second Place: Emily Gao - Homestead HS
Third Place: Aditi Pandey - Wilcox HS

Special Thanks also goes to the Rotarians who helped with the Speech Contest this year from the Youth Service Committee:
Ken Sawyer, Jeff Olevson, Flo Stafford, and Liz Lopez-Aguado
There were many other Rotarians in attendance this year and we appreciate everyone who came out to support our speakers.

On Wednesday evening, February 4, 2015, several Sunnyvale Rotarians joined Dr. Tak and President Charlie at the Rotary District 5170 Cabinet Meeting to honor our own Dr. Takashi Yoshida. Dr. Tak received the RI Vocational Service Leadership Award. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Tak on this wonderful award and for his support of our club, our community and our world through his Vocational Service.
