First monthly evening meeting a Success
A big "Thank You" to Leslie Lawton, President of the Sunnyvale Historical Society, for a wonderful tour and talk at our Rotary club's first evening meeting, September 24. Rotarians and guests gathered at the Museum and enjoyed the friendly and warm atmosphere. The upstairs event venue was lovely as the sun was setting. First time visitors were treated to docent tours and people familiar with the museum found new exhibits to enjoy. We all learned new facts and heard great stories about Sunnyvale's past and hopes to preserve our heritage in the future.
36 Rotarians and their guests attended the meeting and dinner, which was held in the evening in lieu of the regular meeting on Tuesday afternoon. Dustin Eisenhauer, fellow Rotarian and caterer, brought us a wonderful feast. Rotarians all rolled up their sleeves to have our official meeting while adding the extra time and tours of this very special place in Sunnyvale.
