Dec. 01, 2016 5:00 p.m.
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Hamper Night is a tradition where our club gets together at the MCC with family and friends and we work as a team putting together boxes of food to be donated to those in need. It's a fun time and a feel good team effort time. This event is in lieu of our regular Rotary meeting, which would have been Wednesday November 30th. We will have open bar and maybe Santa Claus? Wouldn't that be fun! Each and every Rotarian is charged $50 as this money goes towards the purchase of the Hampers as well as feeding the crowd! Your guests are welcomed, free of charge. Please RSVP for this great event of feel good fellowship.

How Rotary funding has helped the CHIGAMIK Kitchen Talk program
Feb. 15, 2017
In 2015, the Rotary Club of Midland provided funding for a food security program called Kitchen Talk. It is a program originally created to build cooking skills for community members in need. The program has been going since September 2015 and has evolved to much more then skill building. This program allows participants can access a meal, ingredients, as well as create a social network to address the social isolation which affects our community members. The program has become a support system for the participants to access other community programs which has led to great things including a reduction of over-use of the health care system. |
