Last week Zane Parkhurst introduced us to new member, Karl Fick. Karl spent his formative years as a farm kid growing up South of Mead Nebraska. During middle school the family up rooted to Omaha where he graduated from Westside High School. After graduation Karl attended Iowa State University where he studied coursework that eventually led him to pursue a career in actuarial science. With a few actuarial exams under his belt Karl was hired on as an actuarial student working for Mutual of Omaha (6 years). During his time at Mutual Karl developed a side passion for real estate and securities investing, which led to the formation of a number of real estate companies he holds today. 
After Mutual, Karl attended the University of Nebraska – Omaha’s Teacher Academy Project where he gained the skills needed to serve Westside High School as a mathematics educator. At Westside Karl taught students with every range of skill and ability. He enjoyed his six years at Westside and only left as the pull from his rapidly growing printing company required more sweat equity. Today Karl is the CFO and a partner in SpeedPro, a wide format digital printing company, locally owned and operated.
In his free time Karl enjoys visiting his two nieces, parents, friends, and family across the country. Welcome, Karl!
