At the beginning of Mike’s presentation, we were presented with a “What is Polio” quiz to complete. The winners of this quiz were Janet & Doris, each only getting one question wrong!
Mike discussed What is Polio, how it began, & how it has evolved over time. You definitely missed out if you weren’t there to see it!
Club Announcements:
Rotary District Meeting is October 10th @ Lonestar College. Rotary Youth Exchange Annual Meeting will be this same day at Lonestar also, from 10am – 12pm.
October 26th will be our Halloween Social at Longview Greens in Montgomery.
October 1st – Isaac has been a member for 2 years!
October 11th is Daniela’s 5 year membership anniversary & she also has a birthday on October 13th.
October 19th – A Polio survivor will be coming to speak at our meeting.

Chef Rick – Clubs have now begun on the Toilet Roll candy project!
Membership – N/A
Foundation – Collecting money currently for e-ray. We are trying to raise $23,000.
Website – No update
Memory Park – The park was given a lot of material from a guy that has closed down his landscaping business. We are also working on getting someone to the maintaining of the park, not including the mowing that is already being done.
