President Gaynor mentioned at a recent meeting about collecting socks for the homeless and that the Salvation Army Officers would distribute to those in need

I am happy to collect as many pairs of socks as we can contribute at this Monday night's meeting and get them to the Salvation Army.

On their last visit to Elstoft House the Salvation Army informed us that there were up to 80 homeless within our region. I for one know that I have found the nights to be pretty chilly of late and I am extremely grateful that I have warm clothes and a roof over my head

The staff and residents at work are busy knitting beanies and have already sent in over thirty scarves. They decided that we could make up Care Bags with a scarf, beanie and socks, for the homeless. A lovely idea I thought

I will arrange to get the Salvation Army to come and collect these bags from Elstoft House.

With your amazing generosity do you think we could collect 40 pairs of socks?

Hoping you can help us to achieve this goal.

(ed....FYI I discovered today there are many socks heavily discounted at Woolworths Nth Torquay)
