Another interesting night was had Thursday in that it we had an opportunity to examine Barwarre Gardens and the Lifestyle associated with this type of living, this provides “food for thought” into the future of us all, so we can provide the best opportunities for us and our family’s. I particularly like the – “think 10 years in front of us”

 

This week was also a sad one for the club in the funeral for John Bennett this week, which was very well attended. The achievements for John and his Rotary life should not be underestimated. Whilst sad we acknowledge and celebrate the life of John and wish Sandra and family the very best in the coming weeks.

 

2 weeks to go for myself and the current board, now is the time for planning and looking forward to the new Rotary year. This Thursday we have the opportunity to examine one of the potential new venues and also consider the new committees for next year. Always remember we do not have to support old programs and we should also consider proposals on their merits.  Fresh ideas can make us grow and give us opportunities to enrich new life’s so don’t be restricted to the old ways. Rotary and our club need to evolve with community needs to be as successful as it can be. Please be mindful of this as we head into the new year.
