The awards night will be held at the Leopold Sportsmans Club on Monday march 30th.
Cost - $25 / person. time 6.30pm for 7pm start.
The award is named after DR. Jon Birrell who was Victoria's police surgeon from 1957 to 1977 and his initiatives saved
 thousands of lives.
Among his most significant moves was to introduce breathalysers, random breath testing, the .05 legislation, the abolition of
 the "6 o'clock swill", motorcyclists' helmets and the compulsory wearing of seatbelts.
Nominations are sought from police throughout the local region who have shown a dedication to road safety, a reduction of road trauma, commitment to integrity and work ethic, setting the standard regarding organisational  values, are highly regarded by their peers and supervises, engages with stakeholders and actively seeks out opportunities for development.
The award is $2,500 - that is donated to a registered charity that support Toad Safety Trauma.
We are planning on presenting the winner with a recognition trophy and certificate.
