Ways to make your charitable giving go farther.  That was the speaker's topic at the latest Kingston North Kitsap Rotary Meeting.

The speaker at the noon meeting of Kingston North Kitsap Rotary Club on Jun 1 was Paul Nicely, Northwest Executive Director of Eaton Vance, a nationwide asset management and tax advisory firm.  He spoke to methods by which Rotarians can use tax-advantaged vehicles for their charitable giving, to have a lasting and greater impact.
Nicely laid out three options - a Qualified Charitable Deduction, a Donor Advised Fund, and a Legacy Income Trust.  Each is a way to minimize taxes, while increasing the value of the charitable giving.  Rotarian Clint Boxman arranged for Nicely's presentation, having worked on many such programs with him.  For more information, Rotarians can contact Clint, or go to: uscharitablegifttrust.org.
