Parking/check in

Volunteers will park in the front agency parking lot. Volunteers will come to the Administrative Entrance and ring the white doorbell. If you need verification of hours on a time log, please bring with you.

Attire

Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes. T-shirt, jeans or shorts are recommended. Dress to your comfort level for the weather, as you will be serving outdoors.

Description

Volunteers will help assist in feeding our neighbors in need in our drive-thru pantry by loading boxes and bags of fresh produce, meat, hygiene items, and 30+ lbs. boxes of shelf-stable foods into client's vehicles.

•             This is an outdoor and moderate/high impact activity

•             Volunteers will serve outdoors but will be primarily under a covered awning.

•             Clients will be served while remaining in their vehicles. This opportunity has low contact with clients, and contact with up to 6 other volunteers on your shift.

•             Volunteers should be comfortable with lifting 30 lbs. continuously for the entirety of the shift.

•             Volunteers should be comfortable with standing, bending, and walking for extended periods of time.
