Hello All:  I have received the final plans for the Barrie Rotary Clubs' recognition of World Polio Day which is next Tuesday Oct. 24.

Rotary Polio Walk Schedule

4:00 - participants congregate at Centennial Beach, by the new boardwalk, closest to the Rotary Fountain

4:15 - once group is largely assembled, photo op with fountain in background

4:30 - ponchos on & pics snapped, group proceeds with walk to Downtown Barrie

4:30-5:00 - walk to downtown, with options

        - along the footpath, past the marina, Spirit Catcher to the Rotary Clock (photo ops!)

        - 2 routes from here - quick route is up Bayfield, right on Dunlop & proceed to Hooligans (66 Dunlop St. E.)

                                - full route is continuing on through Heritage Park, up foot of Mulcaster, left on Dunlop & to Hooligans

         - the option allows for choice in event of inclement weather, no hill in full route and staggers arrival to Hoolies

5pm-!? - fellowship at Hooligans, perhaps brief comment(s) from DG Kinzie and/or Presidents in attendance (photos!)

NOTE ~ attendees are encouraged to park close to downtown, at Centennial Beach, or in between based on preference to return to vehicle after the event

If you don't have a poncho, don't worry!  You are still welcome to walk with us.  Dress appropriately for the weather and plan for fellowship afterwards at Hooligan's if you like!

This is a public awareness/photo op event that I hope you can participate in.
