Potential of Wildfire Impacts in Gallatin County

The presentation will cover the potential of wildfire impacts with an emphasis on the Wild Land Urban Interface (WUI), simple ways to strengthen your home ignition zone and be prepared, and cost-share grant programs to help reduce fuels around your home/property.

 

About Jay:

Jay Pape (pronounced “Poppy”) works for Gallatin County Emergency Management as the Preparedness & Mitigation Manager with an emphasis on wildfire. He was an active member of Gallatin County Search & Rescue for over 10 years and has been a firefighter for the Montana DNRC and Ft Ellis Fire Department. His role with the Gallatin County Emergency Management is to help homeowners reduce their risk of wildfire impacts through a variety of cost-share mitigation grants.
