The Lewisville Morning Rotary Club partners
with the Lewisville Education Foundation to
Identify qualified High School Seniors for our Scholarships

Every year Lewisville Morning Rotary awards scholarships to two high school seniors. One for a student that matriculated through our adopted elementary school, Central ES. The other to a senior from Hebron High School. Club leadership established the criteria for which each scholarship should be awarded and our partners, the Lewisville Education Foundation managed the scholarship applications and selection process. Below is the letter from LEF announcing this years recipients.
Dear Rotary,

Congratulations!  On behalf of the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation Program & Outcomes Committee, I am pleased to inform you that your scholarship, Lewisville Morning Rotary Club Scholarship, has been awarded to the following students:
  • Jennifer Montoya at Lewisville High School

Virtual Ceremony Date: Wednesday, April 21, 2021 @ 7:00 pm

  • Ethan Pettengill at Hebron High School

Virtual Ceremony Date: Thursday, April 22, 2021 @ 7:00 pm

These students best represent the criteria you designated in your endowment and is who LEF committee members felt was the strongest candidates for your award based on several rounds of blind review.  We are excited to introduce you to these outstanding students and know they best carry forward your intent in establishing this scholarship.

Unfortunately, we are canceling this year’s in-person scholarship ceremony.  We are all saddened by this cancelation but know that it is for the best of everyone involved.  We appreciate your understanding.

The awards ceremony is to honor scholarship recipients, their families and you -- our donors. We want to celebrate you and the students by having online virtual ceremonies.  LEF invites you to the 31st Annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony.  This will be a week-long celebration for each high school campus. Go to lisdef.com/2021awards to watch the ceremonies.  Don’t worry if you miss the ceremonies.  You can watch them any time after this date.

Your scholarship is a meaningful way to make an immediate impact on a student’s life. I look forward to this ceremony every year, and I know you do.  The scholarship recipients are just as appreciative of your investment in them as we are, and this event means so much to them as well.

Thanks for your understanding and steadfast support.  If there is anything I can do to help you further, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Sherah Robinson
