The Rocky Point Rotary Club held a meeting at Sea Basin Restaurant on June 29, 2016 to install officers for the 2016-17 Rotary year. Trish Burton was installed as Rocky Point Club President. Also installed during the evening festivities were Jeff Davis(Vice President), Deirdre Dubato (Secretary), Peter LaRosa (Treasurer), Adam Heller (Financial Secretary), Ann Marie Davis (Trustee) and George Solomon PDG (Trustee). Assistant District Governor, Barbara Ackerman, installed the new officers.
Other highlights of the evening included the presentation of Paul Harris Fellowship Awards to Rocky Point Rotarians, Jeffrey Hulse, outgoing Rocky Point Club President, Tom Talbot, and Glenn Frost. The Paul Harris Fellowship is named for Paul Harris, who founded Rotary with three business associates in 1905. Rotarians designate a Paul Harris Fellow to recognize another person whose life demonstrates a shared purpose with the objectives and mission of The Rotary Foundation to build world understanding and peace.
