During the Month of March, the Kings Park High School Interact Club worked with the East Northport Rotary Club in their Soles4Souls shoe drive. The students collected over 200 shoes from other students and the staff for the Rotary based program to help the impoverished in our nation and the developing world.

The Kings Park Interact Club is a new club to the Kings Park High School this year. Melissa Fink, a Kings Park Math teacher, had introduced the Interact Club to her husband, President of the East Northport Rotary Club, Dr. Richard Fink. The students joined the East Northport Rotary Club’s Soles4Souls drive. They worked vigorously on this project, like developing a marketing a plan to motivate other students and the staff to contribute. The students developed announcements and brochures related to Spring cleaning like, “Clean out your Closets” and save the landfills. Afterwards, on April 2, the Co-President Zachary Keshet, Co-Vice President Stephen Gelina and Isabella Lerer went to the storage facility to help load up the shoes in a container with the East Northport Rotary Club and other contributors. The program was a huge success with over 13,000 shoes collected.
