Kevin Skow - National Weather Service

On April 9th, 2015, Kevin Skow with the Des Moines National Weather Service joined us to talk about the weather and the National Weather Service. The Des Moines National Weather Service serves 50 counties in Central Iowa. Kevin shared with us that Iowa, on average, sees 46 tornadoes per year. Also, in the United States, there are 55 fatalities per year from lighting strikes.
