Steve grew up in Iowa City and is perhaps the result of a City of Literature. He attended ICCSD, U of I, currently serves on the UNESCO City of Literature board, and was recently featured in the Press Citizen, celebrating 30 years as a publisher of books focused on life here in the Midwest.  Ice Cube Press published local Rotarian Tom Cook's book about Clubfoot in December 2019.
