Peer-Mentoring at RCOT:
In the peer-mentor program at RCOT, mentors are selected based on their commitment to the club, their longevity with the club, and their interest in helping another Rotarian become better and more quickly acquainted with Rotary.
Mentors provide information about Rotary International, information about the workings of a specific club, and the role of a committed Rotarian. Mentors say they help their mentees in a variety of ways:
--Helping new members adjust to how the club functions - Introducing the mentor to other members of the club --Improving knowledge of Rotary, the Rotary club, the Rotary District, club projects, and club members- Maintaining open communication, and being available to answer questions--Strengthening social ties with the mentee by taking them out to lunch, greeting them at meetings, and including them in social interaction
