Moved to Bow in time to attend elementary school. Past president John Lyford was the principal and was a great leader, but ruled by fear… told the story of starting his mini-bike in school and John called Dave’s father… very scary.
Graduated from Concord High, then NH College (now SNHU) and took over his father’s company Allied Insurance. He worked with his dad for 17 years which was a real blessing to get to know his dad in a different way. Then he purchased the business after 17 years and at the same time bought another firm, Steven's Insurance in Epsom.
Joined Rotary in 1991, youngest member in Bow at the time, recruited by Ken Moulton. He is most proud of the Car Show. He brought the idea to the board and with some resistance they let him do it and he likes to think it is fun and raises a lot of money. It's our 2nd largest fundraiser.
He has been married for 22 years, two boys are doing well. Their oldest is taking a break from College and currently working at a pet store. He's is always trying to bring home a pet.
