New date - Hurricane relief - Erect Shelters

Updated 20 Sept 2019: The tents have arrived in Nassau. We'd like to get them up as soon as possible to relieve overcrowding at shelters & to give families some privacy.

The Rotary Clubs of The Bahamas are setting up a tent community at The Scout Association of The Bahamas Headquarters on Dolphin Drive. The Scouts will provide use of their kitchen, showers, community room, and covered outdoor recreational areas. This will be a NEMA recognized shelter so security will be provided by the Defense Force or RBPF.

Needed from Volunteers: Erect the first 50 tents. Ten persons per shift. It takes 4 people to put up each tent. Bring a hammer if you have one. This does not require heavy lifting.

When: Saturday and Sunday Sept 21 and 22 from 9am to 5pm.
